This children's book was inspired by the U.S. Surgeon General's Call to Action to promote walking and walkable communities. Increased physical activity improves the physical and mental well-being of people of all ages and abilities.

Step It Up With My Pup! promotes physical activity from an early age in the form of a fun story for children. 

A bilingual English/Spanish rhyming story of brother and sister, walking rain or shine with their pets, encourages young children to be active, breathe fresh air, and create friendships just by stepping outside. The book includes activity pages, a sing-along jingle, and a special message from U.S. Surgeon General Vivek H. Murthy.
